banana coconut oatmeal

I’m a huge breakfast person, but I really only have two options in the morning – homemade granola with plain yogurt (BioBest) and banana or oatmeal with milk and brown sugar. I know, not very exciting, but I eat either one every morning without fail. Yesterday the Hubs passed me a link to a blog called Family Feedbag and she puts a spin on her daily oatmeal fix by adding coconut and banana (yum!). You can check out her recipe here or see below.

Here’s what you need:

  • 1 banana
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup oatmeal (quick cooking oats)
  • Pinch of nutmeg
  • 2 tbsp shredded coconut

Then you:

Bring water and oatmeal to a boil, reduce heat and add banana, nutmeg and coconut let simmer for 2-3 minutes and breakfast is ready!
